Governor Ambode set to stop insecurity by commissioning helicopters, cars, more

Hopefully, traffic robbery will soon be a thing of the past with the commissioning of these security equipment.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has provided the appropriate equipment to tackle traffic robbery and insecurity in Lagos state.

Today, the governor commissioned security equipment worth N4. 765 billion.

The items commissioned included helicopters, 100 4-Door Salon Cars, 55 Ford Ranger Pick-Ups, 10 Toyota Land Cruiser Pick-Ups, 15 BMW Power Bikes/Cycles, 100 Power Bikes, Isuzu Trucks, 3 Helicopters , 2 Gun Boats, 5 Armoured Personnel Carriers Revolving Lights, Siren and Public Address System, Vehicular Radio Communicators Security Gadgets, Bullet Proof Vests, Helmets, Handcuffs, etc Uniforms, Kits, etc; and Improved Insurance and Death Benefit Schemes.

This commission shows the governor's commitment to keeping Lagosians safe.

"With these security equipment, Governor  has demonstrated his firm commitment and ability to safeguard the lives and property of every Lagosian. The government is convinced this gesture will further boost the morale and capacity of the Police, RRS and other security agencies in the state. It is an attestation to the efficacy of the state’s and we believe that this will send a clear signal that criminals and armed robbers no longer have hiding place in the state as government will spare no effort in ridding the state of every form of criminality."

Hopefully, this will stop the numerous cases of traffic robbery.
