Nasarawa sector arrests 117 traffic offenders, convicts 112

The Nasarawa sector of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has revealed the number of arrests made during December and Eid-el-Mouloud festival.

The Nasarawa sector of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has revealed the number of arrests made during December and Eid-el-Mouloud festival.

Last year, 117 traffic offenders were arrested.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Mrs Faustina Alegbe, reports that 112 were convicted and fined, while the remaining five were found not guilty.

“In December 2015, we had a mobile court at Nasarawa Eggon and as I speak to you now, another mobile court is in session at Akwanga Local Government Area.

“Our goal is to enforce the law to the fullest and minimise traffic offences and its attendant consequences on our highways."
