Mobile courts convict 518 offenders
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) arrested a total of 559 traffic offenders during the Easter holidays.
They were all tried in mobile courts, where 518 were convicted.
According to the Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, none of the traffic offenders were convicted to prison term.
Based on this numbers, he urged road users to obey all traffic rules and regulations.
Oyeyemi also called out drivers of articulated vehicles (trailers, trucks, e.t.c.).
He called them the worst traffic offenders because they often use faulty lighting system, thereby creating issues for other road users at night.
The Corp Marshal urged everyone to driver safely as the commission is working hard to have safe roads.
