Organizers announce deadline for entries

Response to the West Africa Mobile Awards (WAMAS) has been excellent and entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established ventures driving mobile industry progress in West Africa are encouraged to submit entries for the 10 categories before the deadline of Friday, February 26th.

Mobile innovators have just one week left to submit their entries for the West Africa Mobile Awards, with winners to be announced at an awards gala on April 21st in Lagos, Nigeria.

Response to the West Africa Mobile Awards (WAMAS) has been excellent and entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established ventures driving mobile industry progress in West Africa are encouraged to submit entries for the 10 categories before the deadline of Friday, February 26th. The WAMAS are the first truly West African technology awards dedicated to recognising the leading mobile and tech innovators across the region.

Applications are being accepted across a variety of mobile industry categories including eCommerce, mobile money, entertainment, mobile app, and brand development. The awards are free to enter and open to all.

The WAMAS have gathered support from a host of industry influencers including MEST, VC4A, CcHUB, MEF, TechLoy, VenturesAfrica, and many more.

The prestigious judging panel features luminaries such as Tunji Eleso (Growth Capital), Rebecca Enonchong (AppsTech), Loy Okezie (LOY Media), Josiah Kwesi Eyison (iSpace Foundation), and Chidi Okpala (Airtel Money).

Cocktails and canapés will be served as the winners are revealed and celebrated during the awards gala at Rooftop in Lagos on April 21st. Full details can be found at http://wamas.com.ng/.
