It seems something has gone wrong with Twitter, with the platform’s website and mobile apps all inaccessible.

Several sources confirm being greeted with a message telling them that “something is technically wrong”.

"Thanks for noticing," the message reads. "We're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon."

A visit to Twitter’s other official client, Tweetdeck, reveals that it is also broken with no information on the platform’s official status page regarding the issue.

However, the Down Detector website showed a huge spike in reports of Twitter being down. The problem also appears to be worldwide, as there have also been reports on Facebook, and other social media platforms about the issue.

Pulse Tech will keep you posted on the issue as it develops.

UPDATE: The Twitter mobile app seems to be back up to normal functionality but the website is still down and displaying the same message that something is wrong with the site.
