A Spanish company, Durmet, has announced a new Wi-Fi enabled device it calls a "Smarttress".
Check out this STRANGE bed that can notify you if your lover is cheating
The mattress has 24 ultrasonic sensors embedded in the springs and it can detect 'action' across multiple zones and "sends an alert to your mobile phone whenever someone is using your bed in a questionable way."
The device is an adult version of Durmet's internet-connected mattress for babies with the company's newest killer feature: a "Lover Detection System" that will buzz your phone every time it detects suspicious activity going on in your bed. Lol.
The mattress has 24 ultrasonic sensors embedded in the springs and it can detect 'action' across multiple zones and "sends an alert to your mobile phone whenever someone is using your bed in a questionable way." Lol, these people are killing me.
However, this questionably smart bed apparently offers more than just simple alarms. Per the dramatically soundtracked promotional video, the app also offers wierdly specific bedtime analytics like a "Speedometer" and "Intensity and impact per minute" metrics.
This means that if you buy the mattress, you won't just be spying on your partner, you will also be able to monitor their 'performance'. Trust me, I am not making any of this up.
Inasmuch as this mattress isn't the first device designed to check on bedroom activity or quantify your sex life, it is definitely the first that does so without giving your partner expo.
All that aside, there is still the possibility of your bed running out of battery juice at the wrongest time, in which you will simply be left with a normal, $1,750 spring-based mattress. Welp.
You can watch the Smarttress promotional video above. What do you think? Good bed or bad bed? Let me know in the comments section below.
