According to various media reports, the media invites, and a teaser video (if you can call it that), for the unveiling of Samsung’s next Galaxy S smartphone have both surfaced.

The key point from the invite, according to Engadget, is that the new smartphone will be unveiled during the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on February 21.

Despite the fact that the predecessor(s) to the upcoming Galaxy S smartphone have been the best from the Korean tech giant in recent years, the company is looking for a hit, amidst slowing sales and economic crunch in China, its biggest market.

Not much is known about the upcoming device – even the name isn’t confirmed yet, but rumors point towards a touchscreen that can detect strong and faint touches similar to what Apple has done with the iPhone 6s.

The Wall Street Journal also points towards fast charging – something we can all do with, especially in this part of the world.
