Based on new leaks, teasers, the upcoming Galaxy S7 could be waterproof

The video shows that there will most likely be wireless charging, a feature already present in the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Samsung should be launching the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge - its new flagship smartphones - in about a week, and the Korean company has begun teasing specs and dropping visuals.

Samsung has even gone as far as opening an official webpage for the device. There's also a video that shows some possible features of the devices.

The video shows that there will most likely be wireless charging, a feature already present in the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and seems will be a constant feature of future Samsung flagships for years to come.

There's another scene in the promo video where the device is being used in rainy weather - which would suggest that the device will be waterproof. Samsung's last waterproof flagship was the Galaxy S5 (the S6 Active is a limited edition device so it doesn’t count).

The weird thing is that video annotation states that the device is not waterproof and that the scene in the video is for dramatization purposes alone before going on to warn against using the device in wet conditions.

I guess we will have to wait till February 21st to confirm if indeed the Galaxy S7 device will be Samsung's next waterproof flagship smartphone.
