LG G4

LG’s latest flagship phone is finally here and it’s called the G4.

The phone comes with a some impressive hardware specs, including a quad HD (1440 x 2560) 5.5-inch screen which makes use of a new “quantum display” technology for better color reproduction, a redesigned camera with a larger sensor, Snapdragon 808 and an expandable microSD slot for more storage.

The G4’s most stunning feature may be its industrial design which is a result of three years of research, and carries a special LG-designed treatment aimed at making it water resistant and less prone to scratches.

The new display is said to have better outdoor visibility, lower power consumption and is also up to the DCI standard – a reference class used by Disney, Sony, and many others for film and television.

For the camera, LG is still going for the 16-megapixel sensor on the back, but it’s a larger sensor than previous phones, and has a super bright f/1.8 aperture, both of which help with low light image capture.

The Snapdragon 808 is a 64-bit hexacore CPU clocked at 1.8GHz paired with a 3,000 mAh battery. There’s also 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, in addition to that microSD space mentioned earlier.

One great thing about this flagship is that it was created with Google users in mind, meaning that Google’s suite of productivity apps comes pre-installed, and Chrome is the default browser.

The LG G4 will be available in Korea first, with an April29 date, and will get to the U.S by the end of May or the beginning of June. All other markets will follow afterwards.
