Taiwanese tech giant launches new M10 smartphone

After struggling for the past few years, and wallowing in the depths of the premuim segment of the smartphone market, Taiwanese phonemaker

The HTC 10 is not going to have a 16GB version (take note ). It will have only 32Gb and 64GB version that will also allow for up to 2TB of additional microSD memory.

The new HTC 10 will go for about $699 and it will carry a 3000mAh battery which can be recharged with an included rapid charger. On the back you will find a 12-ultrapixel camera (notice I didn't say megapixel) and it has a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM.

Design-wise the HTC 10 has a chamfered edge that runs around the 5.2-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display and at the back there is a more pronounced cut (see images).

BoomSound remains but this time with a new Hi-Fi feature that has a woofer in the bottom of the phone and a tweeter grill up top so high and low frequencies come from both high and below. The M10 also scales up any audio to 24-bit quality, which should sound really good on hi-res earbuds.

The software is also better and much closer to stock Android than any other HTC ever. There's still BlinkFeed and other HTC touches so don't think HTC just erased themselves from the phone software completely.

Like all the similar high-end phones out now, the HTC M10 also uses USB Type-C to charge and it also has a fingerprint scanner.
