Female developers get free access to tech innovation hub
The Kaduna-based incubator is trying to get more young women interested in tech.
It’s no news that Nigeria’s growing tech ecosystem is dominated by men; the imbalance is noticeable anywhere from incubators to founders.
The hub seems very interested in getting the female folk involved; in exchange for free access, the developers will design programs that will get more women involved in technology.
CoLab’s founder, Sanusi Ismaila, first teased the announcement via his twitter handle.
This is not the first time the incubator is creating opportunities for women. Earlier this year, it gave free year-long access to female participants at the Startup Kaduna Hack Series.
