“The future is digital, so startup ecosystems in emerging markets need to take advantage of that with programs like this one. We launched digital accelerators for entrepreneurs of Africa and the diaspora to close the resource gap and diversify global startup success stories," says Christine Souffrant Ntim, the Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur and CEO/Founder of Vendedy, who is spearheading the project.
According to the Techmoran report, the pilot accelerator programme will hold on January 9-10, 2017 and 100 startups will be selected to participate.
Before the program, data and insights will be sent to regional influencers, incubators and accelerators to aid startup innovation prgramming for the future.
The accelerator program will begin with a full startup development boot camp covering things like ideation, product development, marketing, customer acquisition, and funding.
Following the boot camp is a workshop keynote address from Lean Launchpad, Forbes list entrepreneurs and key investors. The program will conclude with a demo day when various prizes will be won.
