Smartwatch owners can now use Facebook from their wrists

Facebook Messenger on the Apple Watch

Apple has finally released the dedicated Facebook Messenger app it promised for its wearable’s latest operating system, the WatchOS 2.

As long as you have already installed the updated platform, you can start using third-party apps on your Apple Watch, including Facebook’s messaging application.

Since the watch face is too small to type on, the app only lets you receive and send voice clips, stickers, likes, and emojis – all of which are abbreviated interactions that suit a tiny display perfectly.

According to Engadget, Facebook has also upgraded the app to show your Messenger contacts and conversations via spotlight search in iOS 9 and for the app to work with the iPad’s multi-tasking capabilities.
