Event hosts reveal presiding committee for WeChat Ideathon
TechCabal, Nigeria’s largest tech online publication and host of Africabeta is revealing the committee that will preside over the WeChat Ideathon in the run up to the event.
Startups and developers who apply stand to gain not only early deployment access on the WeChat platform but also an opportunity to demonstrate their ideas on the Africabeta stage as well as go-to-market support for their products and services.
Meet the ideathon review committee:
Etop Ikpe: He is co-CEO of Dealdey, Nigeria’s largest discounted deals website and a veteran ecommerce entrepreneur with experience in mobile communications technology.
Adia Sowho: Director, Digital Business at Etisalat Nigeria, Adia been active for more than 14 years in telecomms, media and tech business leadership. She is the Vice Chair of the EMEA Board at MEF (Mobile Ecosystem Forum) and is active on their Africa Steering Committee. In that capacity, she has facilitated opportunities for mobile VAS providers across Africa.
Victor Asemota: He calls himself a chronic tech addict and it's impossible to say otherwise. Victor has over 20 years industry experience in enterprise applications, consulting, information security, and transaction systems. He is the CEO and Principal Consultant at SWIFTA, a professional service company focused on technology service delivery and business change management.
Bankole Oluwafemi: He is the Editor-In-Chief at Tech Cabal, the leading African technology news and analysis website. TechCabal has been at the forefront of technology, startups, mobile and internet conversation in Africa since it was launched 2 years ago in Lagos, Nigeria.
Idemudia Dima-Okojie He is WeChat's regional manager for West Africa. He has a long running experience in mobile technology and applications. He was head of new product development at Airtel Nigeria before joining WeChat. WeChat is an all-in-one communication app that allows users connect with family and friends, and it has over 600 monthly active users.
