On Monday 23rd of January, the school’s website posted a statement signed by the Registrar, J. A. Agboola. It read:

“All students who are yet to complete their registration are to ensure that they do so and pay their tuition fee during the revision week.

“On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate and Management, headed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. A. S. Gbadegesin, we wish you all the best”.

This is the aftermath of Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s statement at the student rally, where he said he was working with the Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, so an initial N500m lifeline to clear the backlog of unpaid salaries.

Ladoke Akintola University was established in 1990, long before Oyo State was split into two states; Oyo and Osun.
