Nigeria has about 10.5 million out-of-school children, says the Country Director United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF), Jean Gough.

Gough stated this while speaking with the state Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi at the Government House on Tuesday.

She revealed that UNICEF is partnering with stakeholders towards strengthening the newly-introduced Quranic School System with the aim of reducing the number of out-of-school-children.
