In the Premier League and Champions League last season, Iwobi scored just four goals in 33 appearances for Arsenal.
Aware of his poor return of goals, the 21-year-old has revealed that he works with his father to improve himself.
“In the position I am in, I need to get goals and create chances so normally after training or when I am at home, I go out on the field with my Dad and just practice my finishing. There’s always areas of my game that I need to work on,” Iwobi told .
Iwobi who started last season brilliantly for Arsenal before he was dropped following his loss of form, wants to avoid that this season.
“I did a lot of off-season work, I was doing a lot of running, a lot of fitness work," he said.
“[I wanted to impress], especially as towards the end of last season I didn’t play as much as I would have liked. Preseason is a great way to get yourself ready, and I feel sharp, confident and ready to play games this year.
“I am happy with my form, but I still have a lot more to prove as it was only pre-season - I just have to carry it on now.”
Iwobi has made one appearance for Arsenal already this season and could play a part in their trip to Liverpool on Saturday, August 27.
