The 'monster' producer gets it right with the melodies and collaborations on this EP, leaving you wanting probably just a little bit more.
The Monster Boy and his equally talented producer-artist friend Odunsi make good chemistry, holding it down on the track ‘No name yet’.
GMK drops another dope produced one in ‘Mama’s house’ featuring Genio Bambino, where he talks about the struggles of a young adolescent putting up with his over-protective mum.
Aye ma le’ sees him partner with Odunsi yet again and BrisB of LOS, where they get talking about the challenges of growing up and trying to get ahead. Odunsi nails it on the hook of the song.
A funny skit follows which pictures GMK’s conscience pricking him, questioning the gangsta persona he’s putting on when he’s just a lover boy instead.
This ushers in the next song that sees him go the romantic R&B route in the song titled Heartbeat featuring another LOS rap act Bridge. The song explores the lustful and affectionate sides of love.
The Grand Master King (GMK) continues the love ride in the final track of the EP ‘Finer’ featuring Santino.
GMK who is one of the new school acts bound to take over the music scene in Nigeria and beyond shows excellence in his artistry, making futuristic music with help from his class of geniuses – Odunsi, Genio and the likes, and serving us feel good relatable and enjoyable music.
The future is indeed bright for good music with these lads.
"Long Live The King" is a pleasing story-telling work of art by ThatBoyGMK that would leave you wanting more.
