The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Anambra State chapter has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to take a decisive action against the dreaded Boko Haram sect and end their reign of terror in the North-east.

The council also condemned the recent bombing of the Central Mosque in Kano state.
According to reports, the Vice-President of the council for Anambra state Dauda Ajagu made the statement in an interview with journalists in Onitsha on Thursday.
Speaking on behalf of the council, Alhaji Ajagu was said to have suggested that president Jonathan equip the army and other security agencies in the country with more ammunition in the country to bring an end to insurgency.
The council also condemned the recent bombing of the Kano Central Mosque and said the time had come for President Jonathan to take-off the kid gloves on urgent national issues and face the insurgents squarely.
He said , “The perpetrators of the dastardly act are not only trying to drag the name of the country in the mud, they also want to scuttle the 2015 general elections.
“We appeal to the Federal Government to arm the Nigerian Army and other security agencies helping to keep peace in the country to bring the activities of the senseless insurgents to an end.
“We are also calling on Muslims and Christians and traditional religious groups to join hands through their prayers for unity and peace, progress and stability of the country to ensure free and fair conduct of 2015 general elections”.
