Nabbed armed robber says he never misses church services
Felix Odion who has been arrested for suspected car robbery, said he is a "committed Christian" and that he never misses church services.
The 23-year-old has been arrested by of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad for his involvement with an armed robbery gang. Felix Odion was arrested alongside his partner, Titus Anthony, on Saturday, November 22 at a hideout in Ifo, Ogun State.
Speaking to , Felix Odion said that despite the fact that he robs people for a living, he is still a very committed church member.
“I live at Arowojobe Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi with my family. I am also married with two children. I was working as a driver with a plastic company before I was sacked. When I was laid off two months ago, I became penniless and I needed to make ends meet. But I did not think of robbery because I am a Christian. I hardly miss any church service. I attend a church in Oshodi,” the armed robbery suspect told Punch.
Felix Odion and his friends were apprehended by the police for allegedly snatching cars and robbing victims of cash and other valuables. One of the cars they snatched, a Toyota Camry 2004 model, has been recovered by the police.
The suspect reportedly snatched the car at a bank in Oshodi. One of the nabbed suspects, Titus Anthony, said they snatched the car on the evening of Tuesday, November 18 after the owner had withdrawn money from the Automated Teller Machine.
