According to , Helen initially declined the Okotie’s attempt to have sex with her, but Okotie threatened her.
Carl Moeteke, Chief magistrate of the court sentenced Okotie with evidence on a three-count charge of conspiracy, attempted rape, and illicit sexual act.

The court sentenced Okotie without the option of fine.
The police arrested Okotie after his wife reported the case.
