Oyedepo started the Winner’s Chapel in 1981 after an 18-hour vision. On September 1983, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye ordained Oyedepo and his wife, Faith Abiola Oyedepo and commissioned the new church.

The Bishop owns two Universities (Covenant University, Ogun state and Landmark University, Kwara state), ‘alleged’ to have four private jets, a ‘record breaking’ auditorium, publishing house, an elite high school, and houses in several countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
