“Religion is a personal thing so I don’t see a reason why people should be concerned with who and what I worship. Judge me with my music alone and leave my religion,” Adewale Ayuba to a Pulse.ng reporter.

Though he is a known Muslim, Adewale Ayuba is known to always go and worship in churches. In a 2012 interview the singer reacted to a question about his religion after he was spotted at Winners Chapel’s Canaanland in Ota.

“Let me ask you a question, what do people do at Canaan Land? They do there to pray, no to worship idols. I don’t know why people are talking about my visit to Canaan Land. I am sure those people don’t know that my wife is a Christian and that she attends Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel. I was at their convention to pray to God, I don’t think that there’s any crime in that. I went to my wife’s church to worship, does not mean I have been converted? I think people should get busy with something else rather than talking about who goes where. There is no big deal in what I have done, ” he said in the interview.
