A toxic relationship is one of the deadliest kind of relationships to be stuck in with your partner. It only takes willpower to pull yourself out of this soul-sucking kind of relationship which leaves you bitter and battered at the end of the day.

According to experts from YourTango, there are several warning signs that you may be stuck in one without really knowing, all you have to do is watch out for them.

1. His words and actions don't match: He may tell you he loves you and cares a lot but you don't see it in his actions. These mixed signals leaves you confused due to lack of physical affection. He makes it look like you're too needy when you complain.

2. He enjoys calling you demeaning names: He'll rather ridicule you with a nasty name than address you like the lady you are. He loves to fight dirty, attempting to hurt you with words in the process. Name-calling by partners is a definite no-no and shouldn't be tolerated.

3. He gets angry at the slightest instance: His actions are hostile and you've seen him more angry than happy. There's a lot of tension between you both and you aren't comfortable with discussing issues out of fear he might take it the wrong way.

4. Never talks about his problems and is rigid towards change: He constantly refuses to acknowledge the importance of his feelings and needs to your relationship. You find yourself often unhappy because your partner's moods reflects deeply on yours.
