Babatunde Fashola reveals solution to 17M challenge
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, has found the key to Nigeria's 17 million housing deficit.
According to him, proper planning is the only way to solve this housing challenge.
Fashola also said this (proper planing) would be beneficial in project completion, cost control and reduction in variation requests as well as financial calculations.
He made this revelation at the 35th Annual General Meeting and International Symposium of Shelter Afrique, themed, "Housing Africa’s low Income Urban Population", in Abuja.
There, Shelter Afrique and Real Estate Development Association (REDAN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This MoU will see to the provision of affordable housing units in Nigeria.
