The Economist Magazine has devised a ranking system of the livable cities in the world.
Lagos is the 7th least livable city in the world- report says!
Economist Magazine has rated Lagos, Nigeria among the bottom ten cities in the world.
This is done based on 30 factors grouped in five categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.
“Those that score best tend to be mid-sized cities in wealthier countries with a relatively low population density. This can foster a range of recreational activities without leading to high crime levels or overburdened infrastructure.”
Based on this Lagos, Nigeria was the seventh on the bottom ten cities list in the world.
The five least liveable
Other worst cites in the rankings was Tehran, Iran, followed by Douala, Cameroon; and Tripoli, Libya.
On the other hand, Melbourne, Australia, is the most livable city in the world.
It beat out Vienna and perennial winner Vancouver, primarily based on its infrastructure, health care and education.
