The People's Democratic Party seems to be taking desperate steps to ensure that their administrative activities does not grind to a halt.
Is the party broke?
Some staff say the administrators of the party lack transparency and proper accountability.

News reaching Pulse says that the party secretariat has concluded plans to sack some of its staff and slash salaries by 50%.
In a memo sent tall staff Directors, on July 29, 2015 titled: ‘Re-organisation and restructuring of staff at the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party,’ the national secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo said the decision to reduce staff strength was approved by the national working committee.
A staff who spoke under anonymity said “We are in trouble in this party. The NWC members are lords unto themselves. There is no one to control them and the finances of the party. They have paid themselves several allowances. Even during the last Sallah break, they took money.But because we demanded for our furniture allowance, see the memo they gave us. The idea behind this is to sack us and then they will bring in their cronies.”
Here is the list of decisions the secretariat has taken in other to keep the party afloat:
1.To reduce the allowances of all the national working committee members by 50%.
2. To reduce the number of security personnel attached to the national officers by 50%.
3. To reduce the salaries and allowances of all staff (Establishment and Staff of NWC members) by 50%, effective August, 2015.
4. To ensure that staff who are not sacked will obtain individual letter of revalidation from their state chapters within one month of the circular as to their suitability for service at the national secretariat.
