'Blame PDP for current hardship, not APC,' Gov. tells Nigerians

Oshiomhole also said Nigerians, and the Edo people should vote the PDP out in every election to punish the party for the hardship it brought upon the masses.

Adams Oshiomhole

Oshiomhole stated this on Tuesday, August 16, at a campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr Godwin Obaseki, at Ikhin and Amoya, both in Owan East Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor said the PDP diverted the funds meant for the development of the country to their personal purse, adding that President Muhammadu Buhari is doing everything possible to fix the problems created by the opposition in the last 16 years.

He said Nigerians, and the Edo people must vote must vote PDP out in every election to punish the party for the hardship it brought upon the masses.

He said: “The PDP caused this hardship we are all going through. They pocketed the money meant to buy arms to prosecute the Boko Haram urgency in the North-East.

“They also stole monies meant to construct roads, build airports, hospitals. They caused the Dollar to be far higher than the Naira.

“But, while we are pained, I will urge us all to continue to punish them with our votes.

“I want you all to vote Godwin Obaseki as governor, come Sept. 10, for these works left undone to be completed.”

In his address, Obaseki also promised that if elected, the focus of his administration would be human capital development, and advised the people not to be deceived by PDP’s lies.
