Buhari beats Jonathan in Obanikoro, Agbaje, Bode George’s wards

Buhari is ahead of President Goodluck Jonathan by a wide margin in the state and even defeated the incumbent in the wards of some Peoples Democratic Party stalwarts.

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari seems to be heading for a landslide victory in Lagos State, if early results are anything to go by.

Buhari is ahead of President Goodluck Jonathan by a wide margin in the state and even defeated the incumbent in the wards of some Peoples Democratic Party stalwarts.

Minister of Foreign Affairs II, Musiliu Obanikoro, PDP leader, Bode George and the party’s governorship aspirant in the state, Jimi Agbaje, are among those who lost their wards to the APC.

In Obanikoro’s ward, polling unit 013, Gerald, Ikoyi, Buhari scored 62 to defeat Jonathan, who polled 38 while in Agbaje’s ward in Apapa, Buhari polled 127 votes to beat Jonathan, who scored 60 votes.

Bode George also lost his polling unit  on Evans/Adu Street, Lagos Island, as the APC got 109 votes and PDP scored 108 votes for the Presidential poll.

The APC candidate also defeated Jonathan in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The complete results and the President-elect will be disclosed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today, March 30.
