The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega has said that the upcoming elections will be “flawless or near perfect.”

Jega based his optimism on the level of the commission’s preparedness for the polls.

The INEC Chairman made the statement during the National Stakeholders’ Summit on the 2015 general election in Abuja on Tuesday, March 24.

Jega said that INEC had started preparing for the 2015 polls immediately after the 2011 elections ended and that the commission had cleaned up the voter register by identifying and removing multiple registrations.
