Chief Judge sets up panel to investigate Deputy Governor

The seven-man panel was set up following allegations of gross misconduct levelled against Olanusi by the State House of Assembly.

The Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi, has set up a panel to investigate Deputy Governor, Ali Olanusi.

The state legislators on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, served the deputy governor a notice of impeachment and also accused him of sabotage, financial misappropriation and truancy.

The panel will be headed by retired Chief Magistrate, Olatunji Adeniyan while its other members are Mr Aladesanmi Akingbade, Mr Ademola Ekundayo, Mr Richard Obafemi, Mr Abraham Mathew, Alhaji Ibrahim Shodeinde and Mrs Eunice Yinka Obadele.

Olanusi defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) just hours before the March 28 presidential elections which the latter won.
