Amaechi and Wike need to kiss and make up
The exact details of how the feud began are not known but the arch-enmity reached full force after Amaechi fell out with former first lady, Patience Jonathan and Wike took her side in order to achieve his governorship ambition.
The trouble between the two is said to have started after Amaechi nominated Wike, then his Chief of Staff, for a ministerial position in the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

The rest, they say, is history.
Since then, Wike and Amaechi have been at each other’s throats, each dispensing more venom than an irritated saw scaled viper at the slightest provocation.
“Today, Amaechi is insulting me, simply because I asked him to stop insulting Mr President,” Wike had said in October 2014 in an attempt to explain the situation.
Amaechi on his part has not offered an explanation but always subtly hints that Wike is a betrayer.
"Nyesom Wike loves and worships money; he can betray his mother for money – nothing more, nothing less,” Amaechi said on Thursday, April 9, 2015 during an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in the state.
He made a similar statementon Saturday, March 12, 2016, during a radio interview in the state.
“Wike is so desperate that he can sell his mother. On the day of the re-run, I am ready for Wike, they should come out with their guns, we are ready for them," he said while referring to the March 19 state and National Assembly rerun elections in the state.
The war of words is endless and so fierce that neither gentleman can see just how low he is stooping in order to claim victory.
“Wike lacks capacity to govern. Somebody who just knows how to steal money is a bushman,”Amaechi fired.
“Amaechi lacks proper parental upbringing hence his desperation in the political arena. He is a psychiatric patient who was at the radio station abusing people who are old enough to be his fathers/mothers simply because his party lost at the Supreme Court,” Wike
And so on and so forth.
Frankly speaking, the Wike/Amaechi war has gotten a bit trite and is now more than a little childish.
Anyone who’s ever been in a bad relationship knows that you are only truly over a person when you are indifferent to them. If you still have bitter words to say, then you are still attached.
Wike and Amaechi need to realize that there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics hence you take what you can, when you can and leave the rest.
Neither man is reliant on the other for anything at this time and they are now operating within different political spaces so they can afford to, at least publicly, bury the hatchet for the sake of decency.
Dear Amaechi and Wike, please we are tired of hearing about your mental states and your mothers. Please and please, spare us all these dirty fights and move on with your lives. Thanks and God bless.
