‘We haven’t seen your change yet,’ PDP tells president

The comment was made by the PDP’s former acting National Chairman, Bello Muhammadu Haliru, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, during the morning programme of the BBC Hausa Service.

President Muhammadu Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the Muhammadu Buhari administration has not yet delivered the change it promised during the 2015 election campaign.

“Change” is the much-publicized slogan of Buhari’s party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The comment was made by the PDP’s former acting National Chairman, Bello Muhammadu Haliru, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, during the morning programme of the BBC Hausa Service.

Haliru said:

“The inability of Buhari to make change in the country is one reason he is being referred to as “Baba-go-slow”.”

“I am asking where is the change so far in the country? There is nothing on ground to show off with regard to what the APC has promised to offer before taking power.”

“Come to think of it, there is no change between Naira and Dollar. So what is the difference? Even the current stability of electricity in the country is not the effort of Buhari. It has been the effort of the PDP led government in the last sixteen years.”

“People are now seeing for themselves what they have voted for. We have given them the chance to see what they would do.”

The PDP lost its position as Nigeria’s ruling party to the APC during the 2015 elections
