President submits ministerial list to DSS

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly submitted a list of 36 ministerial candidates, 20 of whom have already been screened by the DSS.

 

There are indications that President Buhari has compiled a list of 36 ministerial nominees.

Reports say he has submitted the list to the Department of State Security (DSS) for screening.

Punch Newspapers reports that 20 candidates have been screened already.

When contacted to speak on the development, Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina said “Security screening is naturally a behind-the-scenes matter."

According to news sources, most of the people on the list, worked with the President when he served as chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund.
