President reportedly planning to compensate Tinubu with 4 ministerial slots

Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara emerged Senate President and House of Reps speaker on June 9, 2015, in defiance of the APC’s wishes.

President Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly planning to allot four ministerial slots to All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Bola Tinubu in compensation for the loss of the Senate Presidency and the House of Representatives Speakership.

Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara emerged Senate President and House of Reps speaker on June 9, 2015, in defiance of the APC’s wishes.

According to The Tribune, Tinubu is angry that Buhari didn’t do more to ensure that the APC’s chosen candidates, Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, won the positions hence the President is said to be putting measures in place to mend his relationship with the party leader.

A Presidency source reportedly told The Tribune that one of those measures is the allotting of the ministerial slots to Tinubu.

The party leader has remained uncharacteristically silent since Saraki and Dogara’s emergence and also failed to attend the APC’s National Executive Council meeting which was called on July 3 to address the crisis.
