Osinbajo can replace President in 2019 – APC chieftain

Nataro also urged Buhari to encourage Osinbajo by giving him more responsibilities in critical areas.

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kebbi State, Salihu Isa Nataro has said that Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo could potentially replace President Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria’s number one man if the latter chooses not to run in 2019.

Nataro also urged Buhari to encourage Osinbajo by giving him more responsibilities in critical areas, Daily Trust reports.

The APC chieftain reportedly made the comments while speaking in an interview over the weekend in Birnin Kebbi.

“Osinbajo, whom I see to be a possible replacement of Muhammadu Buhari is very active and understands the president more than any member of the cabinet. We must be proud of this co-operation to reconstruct Nigeria,” Nataro said.
