Senator commends FG on planned fuel price reduction

The Senator also encouraged Nigerians to deepen democracy by identifying their Senator and those representing them in the House of Reps, and put pressure on them to come to Twitter.

The Dean of the School of common sense, Senator Ben Murray Bruce has commended the Federal Government for reducing the price of fuel to N86.50k for privately owned filling stations and N86 for Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling stations.

The new fuel price was announced by the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).

Murray-Bruce said “50 Kobo reduction is better than nothing. We must commend the FG and insist that further steps be taken to make fuel available nationwide.”

Adding that “The issue is availability. Its better to have the product available even if price increases than reduce price & still not have availability.”

Adding that “Leadership involves communicating clearly such that honest people don't misunderstand you and mischievous people can't misrepresent you.”

The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA)  is a government organisation established  in 2003 to ensure a strong, vibrant downstream sub-sector of the petroleum industry, where refining, supply, and distribution of petroleum products are self-financing and sustaining.

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (MON) is the Senator representing the Bayelsa East constituency of Bayelsa state.
