The aggrieved chieftains, who are members of the PDP Ministers Forum, might go to court to secure an injunction to prevent Sheriff from functioning as chairman, The Nation reports.
“We have weighed all options. Some of our members have decided to go to court to seek an injunction because the process leading to his nomination and selection was illegal,” a source said.
“We will file our application in court any moment from now,” the source added.
The PDP ministers are also demanding that Sheriff vacate the office by March 28, 2016.
The forum had earlier issued a communique to announce its rejection of Sheriff as the party’s chairman.
