Sheriff earlier insisted that he is the leader of the party, adding that he would only leave office when due process is followed.
According to Nigeria Today, the court nullified the 2014 constitution of the party that brought Sheriff into office.
This is coming after the embattled PDP chairman appointed his National Deputy Chairman.
Sheriff's faction is currently holding a governorship primary in Edo state, after cancelling the election that was held earlier.
Despite the PDP leadership tussle, the chairman of the party's Caretaker Committee, Ahmed Makarfi has said that Ali Modu Sheriff is his friend.
More details later.
