The European Union (EU) election monitoring team, which is expected to monitor next month’s elections, was led by Santiago Ayxela.

The team, which is expected to monitor next month’s elections, was led by Santiago Ayxela.
Mr Ayxela stated that a total of 90 EU election monitors are expected in Nigeria.
He however added that the team wouldn’t monitor polls in the Northeast due to the current security challenges in the area.
