Now, we’re starting off the Pulse Music Podcast with, a discussion of the best and gritty parts of the industry as it affects the consumer, the industry, and all the stakeholders.

Publishers are going podcast crazy and we’re not immune to it. For the past months, we’ve muled over a show series, the Pulse Music Podcast, which features in-depth analysis of African music, the art of performing, and many others.

The first of podcasts on Pulse Music come from the field of artiste development. The podcast is focused on the need for artiste development.

Here are some highlights:

Artiste development is what comes before, and after the hit song. It is the one ingredient of music success that sets you up for the long haul and transcends the successes originating from recording music, down to the fundamentals of the business, and legal aspects.
