President To Meet With Obama, Cameron Over Terrorism

President Goodluck Jonathan is said to have departed for New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly

President Goodluck Jonathan is set to meet with other world leaders at the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly holding in New York, US.

Jonathan is said to have left Abuja for the US yesterday, September 21, 2014.

The president is expected to attend receptions hosted by President Barack Obama of the United States and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki Moon and will reportedly address the UN Security Council on “Threats to International Peace and Security Caused by Terrorist Acts”

Jonathan is also billed to hold talks with the UN Secretary-General and the British Prime Minister, David Cameron.

The 2014 UN General Assembly convened on September 16 and is expected to run till October 1 2014. The General Debate will open on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 and President Jonathan is expected back in Nigeria on Thursday, September 25.
