The Western Ports Command of the Nigeria Police Force has stated that the insurgents, whose activities have been largely restricted to the North-East, are planning to bomb the nation’s seaport in Apapa.

The disclosure was reportedly made by the Commissioner of Police in charge of the command, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison at the inauguration of new executives of the Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria (MARAN) on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Mrs Ibifuro said that port officials had received intelligence reports on the proposed attack about three months ago, Tribune reports.
