This adds a new twist to a seemingly ageless battle among female fans in Nigeria. Ever since they both broke into the mainstream music stream, Xclusive and Caise have both been the subject of a cold war on social media, over their charming looks, with female fans locked in a battle over who has got more charm. But DJ Caise believes his friend has the better looks.
He told Pulse.ng: To be honest, I thnk DJ Xclusive is hotter. In terms of looks, I've known him for a long time, and he has this effect on women.
But I men, I'm not a model, I'm in this game to make music, I'm in this game to entertain people. I'm very confident in myself, very confident in my ability. I'm a happy chappy. Repping the ladies.
DJ Caise who is signed to Chocolate City, is known and respected within the continent with a huge number of fans. Music to him has always been part of a wider array of talent.
“I've always been a music head, always trying to find ways to impress myself, so I went through acting, went through producing, went through DJ-ing. It was just a creative outlet.
“To me it's to get the thoughts out to people, and over the years I've come to realize that those thoughts have been able to entertain people, make people laugh, make people dance, and feel happy.”
DJ Caise also will play a leading role in a new soap - 'The Island'- a show which excites him. The role which was initially a cameo, got changed to a leading part, due to his brilliance in delivering his lines.
“I was actually supposed to make a cameo, because they have lots of artistes making a cameo in it. But during the course of running my lines, the director was like, hold on. There's this character we've been looking to cast, and we haven't been able to find anybody to do it.
“He's the main character's best friend, a very very memorable character, Jide Ademola, you will remember the name, I promise you. It went really well, everyone has been pretty impressed, and pretty excited about it, so I'm looking forward to it.”
