Rapper 'didn't want to win a Grammy' because she didn't want to be hated anymore

Speaking on LA radio's Power 106 station, the Aussie rapper said: "I did not want to win that award. My speech would have been like, 'Fuck this. I don’t want it, take it. Get it away from me'."

Iggy Azalea has claimed that she's glad to not have won a Grammy Award this year as it would only fuel her haters.Speaking on LA radio's Power 106 station, the Aussie rapper said: "I did not want to win that award. My speech would have been like, 'Fuck this. I don’t want it, take it. Get it away from me'."Azalea continued: "People already hate me enough. I do not need to be hated any more."The rapper, who was beaten to the Best Rap Album accolade by Eminem, also hit out at the perceived hypocrisy of critics that had deemed her possibly winning the award as cultural appropriation.Azalea said: "I found it to be kind of ironic. It was because I’m white, therefore I’m appropriating culture, but then Eminem won it - who’s white and won it many times - and they didn’t seem to say anything about that. I suspect it was just because they dislike me."Elsewhere in the interview, Azalea also discussed rumours of her having a sex change and allegations of racism. Watch in full below.
