British Hollywood actor Idris Elba who also doubles as a music artiste and DJ has confirmed that he has been dropped by his record label Parlophone.
The star actor released an album 'Mi Mandela' in November 2014. The album featured acts such as James Blake and Marcus Mumford. The music album which was recorded between Johannesburg, London and Mali was not a commercial success.
"It was not commercial enough. That's fair enough," said Elba. The actor is however already making plans for his next album. His next body of work will be based around the character John Luther, the detective character he played in at BBC1's Luther.
Idris Elba also revealed the acts he will like to work with. "Musically I would like to work with any one of The Marley Brothers, I would like to work with Janelle Monáe, Adele" he revealed.
The Brit actor also plans on executing character based album off Stringer Bell, the role he played in HBO's classic series The Wire.
