Actress is returning for 'Independence Day 2'

Vivica Fox is returning for the anticipated sequel to the 1996 'Independence Day' film.

Vivica A. Fox who played Jasmine Dubrow in the 1996 original of Roland Emmerich’sIndependence Day will return for the sequel titled ' ID Forever Part I'

Roland took to his Twitter to share the news with fans. He shared a photo of himself with Vivica, with the caption;

"Exciting news... just officially closed @ for #! Here's the pic!June 24, 2016 sequel."

Already established cast of the sequel include Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Independence Day 2 is looking to begin production in May. The original Independence Day opened on July 3, 1996 and earned about  $817.4 million worldwide.
