AMC renews show for 7th season

After one of it's latest emotional and shocking episode pulled in over 18 million viewers, AMC has renewed 'The Walking Dead' for a seventh season.

AMC has renewed 'The Walking Dead,' its number one show on TV among 18-49 demo, for a seventh season.

'The Walking Dead' on October 11 with lots of chaos,  death, mistrust, and confusion.

In episode three of the ongoing season 6, one of the show's favourite characters, Glenn, was killed off after he was dragged into a sea of walkers by Nicholas' dead body, and eventually torn to shreds.

The episode brought in 18.2 million viewers  - 12 million adults 18-49 and 11.5 million adults 25-54.

The 7th season will premiere October 2016.
