“Dry” gets distribution deal in the U.S

The film focuses on two main cultural issues in West Africa: child marriage and Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF).

Stephanie Linus’s self directed film “Dry” has signed an agreement with ARC Entertainment for the distribution of her film in the United States of America.

The award-winning movie based on a real life story portrays the lives of two girls forced to become child brides.

The film is presently available on several online platforms including Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Sony PlayStation and VUDU.

Linus plays multiple roles in this film – she produced, directed and also features as an actor in this project.

The film focuses on two main cultural issues in West Africa: child marriage and Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF).

“Dry” was recently nominated in the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA). It was nominated for awards in the Best Director, Best Overall Movie (Africa), Best Movie (West Africa) and Best Supporting Actress categories.

The film won the Best Protagonist award at the Bentonville Film Festival. It has also won awards at the 2015 BON Awards and 2015 ZAFAA Global Awards.

“Dry” has been screened in the USA, United Kingdom and Canada. The film will be shown at the Toronto Black Film Festival in early 2016.
