It's that time of the year when we get to look at some of the actors who did well in the last twelve months.

Who is your best female actor for the year 2015? A lot of factors determine an actor’s value - box office numbers (which is almost inaccessible in Nigeria), social media buzz (positive), award nominations and win, and of course, critical respect.

It’s almost the end of 2015, and Pulse Nigeria has put together our best 10 female actors of the year, judged by the above factors.

In no particular order, here we go;

By every measure, the actress deserves a top spot on the list.  In 2015, she has featured in two box office movies - the much anticipated "Fifty," and her second directorial movie “The First lady,” which is currently the highest grossing Nollywood movie in cinema, a position previously held by AY Makun’s “30 Days in Atlanta.”

The actress also went on to prove her skills in the comedy as Michelle, delivering a character worth watching over and over in the cinemas.

When your performance in a multiple award winning film like “October 1” lands you the much coveted AMVCAs undefined  then you definitely deserve to be on every top 10 list for the year.

Fans have seen the Ghanaian actress interpret different roles, but in 2015, she decided to take a different path in the movie “If Tomorrow Never Comes.”

The actress brought her A-Game in the emotional gripping film, bringing the character Ewurabena to life in a performance worthy of an AMVCA nomination.

It’s not every day you get the perfect actor to be a street wise ‘hoe’; but Ijeoma Grace Agu did justice to the character ‘Delia’ in

Ijeoma won our hearts with her incredible interpretation of the character, and has us asking for more of her movies.

2015 has indeed been a year for the actress, who not only produced her first movie “3 isCompany2”, but also delivered a stellar performance the a supporting character, Sandra, in the box office hit  “The First Lady," which has got everyone talking.

The actress who won the "Best Supporting Actress" award at the 2015 AMVCAs, also featured in two hit cinema movies this year – “A Soldier’s Story” and “Out of Luck” in which she delivered a performance outside her famous characters - "Tinsel's 'Bimpe," and "The Meeting's 'Ejura.'.

She has also continued to thrill TV lovers as Bimpe in the hit series "Tinsel," and it's impossible to think she won't keep getting better at what she does.

Her presence on the big screen hasn't been felt much in the past few years, but the actress made a comeback in the much talked about movie undefinedwhich also served as her debut production.

While most movie lovers would love to see the actress in a more challenging role, it can't be denied that Nnaji delivered the character ‘Victoria’ perfectly, making it easy to connect and understand the plight of the character.

In her directorial debut “Dry,” the actress didn’t only succeed at mining unforgettable characters, she also delivered one herself as ‘nurse Zara.’

Apart from doing well in cinemas, her performance was well received by critics, who were charmed by her acting and directorial skills.

Her role in “The Visit” can be described as the best performance of her career.  The actress starred as Eugenia Nebo -  the prim and proper type of lady in the 4-man cast movie.

She delivered a character that has been well accepted by critics. Her performance in the cinematic film revealed a talent which most movie lovers were unaware of.

Her character Elizabeth is a celebrated obstetrician whose penchant for younger men has estranged her from her daughter.

Watching Ireti interpret the role perfectly would make you wonder who else could have done It better.

It's no news how perfect Mercy Johnson can be on screen, and she didn't fail n the 2015 Obi Emelonye film "Thy Will be Done."

She did a superb job, delivering a relatable character effortlessly, while reminding viewers why she's considered one of the best in the movie industry.
